Sergeant Jason Bos and Cila, his K9 partner worked side-by-side together in Iraq. Through 100 missions, some of which included working with the secret service and detecting roadside bombs, this team was together.

However, when the sergeant had to retire because of a back injury in 2012, he returned to the states...without Cila, the beautiful chocolate Labrador, by his side.

Sgt. Bos was depressed and heartbroken and he wasn't sure if he'd ever be reunited with his beloved best friend ever again.

Not a day went by, in the entire two years that passed, that Sgt. Bos didn't think of his friend Cila. However, when Bos found out that Cila was about to retire from her service, fate stepped in to lend a helping hand.

Cila was flown all the way from Germany to Chicago, with the help of the American Humane Association and Mission K9 Rescue, to be reunited with Sgt. Bos at O'Hare International Airport.

The moment Cila hears her old friend call her name, she immediately knew it was him.

The cameraman asked Sgt. Bos, "So, what's the future hold for you two old soldiers?" And he responds, by saying he'd like to work with struggling veterans when their deployment is over and help them deal with any problems they may be facing and with a smile on his face, he announced that Cila will be put to work...as a couch potato.

What a wonderfully moving reunion. It's quite obvious that these two were meant to be together and I'm so happy that the American Humane Association, along with Mission K9 Rescue, were able to make this happen, heroes helping heroes!

Let's spread the smiles!
