Pre-teens and teenagers think they know it all. They are old enough to make their own choices, and they are pretty sure that their choices are the right ones – or they don’t care, and they just do what they want to do regardless of consequences. There weren’t many dry eyes in the house when Marc Mero, a WCW and WWE champion talked to a room full of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
Mero runs a nonprofit organization called Champion Of Choices. He told the students about the relationship he had with his mother – and drugs and alcohol. He wanted the students to know that they should appreciate their parents – before they are gone. Grab a tissue – no, a box of tissues before you watch this one.
“It’s not what’s in your pocket that matters, it is what’s in your heart that truly matters.” That is true for everyone – not just teenagers. Share if you agree, people.
