Animals just have this sense. They know when a human or another animal is sick. When I was younger, our sheltie would sleep under our beds and follow us around the house if we stayed home sick from school. The three kittens in this photo were found by Megan Sorbara just like this, all huddled together.
The two tabby kittens were trying to keep their sibling warm and safe. Despite the fact that it was a hot summer day, the tiny white kitten inside was trembling.
Megan saw that the white kitten was very weak and couldn’t even stand up. Back at Naples Cat Alliance, in Florida, everyone saw that the white kitten had a head tilt and balance issues.
Other than those two things, she had a good appetite and would roll around to get places. All of the kittens were given names. Pistachio and Praline for the tabby kittens and Coconut for the white kitten.
Megan took care of her new charges around the clock. Every time she went to check on them, Pistachio and Praline could be found snuggling with Coconut.
Everyone is on the lookout for the momma cat and hope that they all can be reunited. Until then, Coconut and her siblings have Bitsy, the cat loving dog, to foster them!
Bitsy is helping Coconut get stronger by encouraging her to stretch, move, and climb.
Happily, the momma cat was found and was reunited with her babies!
They named the momma cat, Vanilla Bean and she is happy to have her babies back!
